Parenting Clarity Call — Session Agreement
Welcome
I look forward to working with you. The Parenting Clarity Call is a 90-minute session designed to help us understand what's happening for you and your child, clarify your priorities, and identify a clear way forward.
My approach looks beneath behaviour to consider your child's nervous system, emotional needs, relationships, environment and individual differences. Together, we'll explore the challenges you're experiencing and create a personalised map of what to focus on and where to begin.
Our Work Together
During our session, you can expect me to:
- Listen carefully to your concerns and experiences without judgement.
- Help you explore what may be underlying your child's behaviour and difficulties.
- Bring a nervous-system-aware and relational perspective to the challenges you're experiencing.
- Help you identify patterns, priorities and practical next steps.
- Offer observations, questions and guidance based on my professional experience.
- Respect your knowledge of your own child and family.
- Provide a confidential and supportive space in which you can explore your parenting concerns openly.
Our work is collaborative. My role is not to tell you how to parent your child, but to help you understand what's happening more clearly and find responses that feel appropriate for your child, your family and your values.
Your Responsibility
You remain responsible for the decisions you make for yourself and your child and for deciding which suggestions or approaches are appropriate for your family.
The Parenting Clarity Call is an educational and mentoring service. It is not psychotherapy, medical or paediatric care, psychological assessment, diagnosis, or legal advice and should not be used as a substitute for appropriate professional care.
Where I believe another professional or service may be more appropriate for your child's needs, I may suggest that you seek additional support.
Confidentiality
What you share with me during our work together will be treated as confidential and will not be disclosed to another person without your consent, except where disclosure is required by law or where there is a serious concern regarding safety.
I will never use your name, story or testimonial publicly without your permission.
Cancellation & Rescheduling
Your Parenting Clarity Call is 90 minutes.
If you need to reschedule, please give at least 48 hours' notice wherever possible.
Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice, or missed appointments, may be charged in full except in exceptional circumstances.
Investment
The fee for your Parenting Clarity Call is NZ$297, payable before the session.
hat Happens After the Call?
The Parenting Clarity Call is the starting point for working with me more closely. Towards the end of our session, we'll talk about what you and your family need from here.
For some parents, the clarity and personalised map from this session may be enough. For others, ongoing support may be helpful. If that's the case, we can explore the different ways I might support you and whether working together further feels like the right fit.
In some circumstances, particularly where a child's learning needs, behaviour or family situation are more complex, I also require a Parenting Clarity Call before agreeing to begin tutoring. This allows me to understand the bigger picture and consider with you whether tutoring — and my particular approach — is the right support for your child.
By accepting this agreement, you confirm that you understand the nature of the Parenting Clarity Call and agree to the terms above.
